Smokin Tex Pro Series 1400 Stainless Steel Electric Smoker Reviews

This is a fantastic smoker. I would rate this above most of the smokers on the market

Posted

Pros: Almost impossible to cook since the top temp is only 250. The accessories are outstanding

Cons: After using for about 17 smoking on everything from fish to prime rib, I can find not faults

After 17 uses since I got it on 21 Nov '11, everything work perfect. I love the fact than it doesn't need to be watched and stoked. That may hack some of the purists of the soming world, but what you get in the end is what counts--- at least that is what smoking is albout.

Solid, easy to use electric smoker

Pros: Add food and wood and your done. All stainless steel including the grills unlike typical units. Accessories like the cart make it very easy to access

Cons: slightly higher upfront cost. Heavy if you need to move across lawn.

I've had this smoker for 6+ years and have smoked all types of foods with smoke times of 3-18 hours, its always a pleasure to use.  The insulated construction is great when used during the winter and in windy weather.  Overall the closest I've seen to electric units used commercially. I would highly recommend if you are willing to spend $500+

Best I have used

Pros: Side table with the SS rack; turkey rack, seafood rack, rib hooks, & cold smoke tray available

Cons: assembly can be trying with the ss rack.

I have yet to use an electric smoker I liked any better.  Easy to use, with outstanding results.  I believe that the cost scares many other cabinet users away.  If they ever used this they would know how pathetic their Masterxxxx smoker really is.

I Bought one of these last summer and I'm still impressed with how great it works!   Everyone is impressed with how great it smokes food. The ideas are endless with what you can smoke!!   I saved a ton when i purchased it through http://www.myrubberneck.com/smokintex1.html They had super fast delivery and the customer service was amazing. They even gave me tips on how to smoke certain products!   They are a 5 star company!!!

Makes me feel like a pro, but I'm far from it.

One of my best friends has had a Smokin Tex Pro Series 1500 smoker for years, and I've always been in awe of it.  The 1500 is incredible, but I didn't have $1700 and this mini version will easily do five racks and 30 lbs of pork butt at a time, enough for my small family.  It has none of the bells and whistles like some of the less expensive smokers out there, just a stainless steel insulated box with a big latch on the door and a temperature dial on it. I expect it will take me some time to perfect smoke times and temps but I look forward to it! My first smoke out of the box was beef jerky, which turned out great.  I just read...
