Pros: Great on just about anything but best on Pork and tri-tips
Cons: None since I don't have to depend on a friend in California to get anymore
A friend of mine that lived in California used this all the time on tri-tips. I was amazed immediately by the flavor profile and then expanded it to other meats like pork chops and chicken. It is still the best rub for tri-tips in my opinion. I haven't found anything close that works with tri-tips.
