Pros: Once the mods are in place, it is very consistent and heavier steel likes to hold the temp. Can make fine adjustments with FB and stack vents.
Cons: Required mods: fire basket, Horizon tuning plate, lowered stack to grill, shielded cook chamber from firebox, gaskets on smoker and firebox.
Don't get me wrong, I am having a blast! Money well spent. I am sure the UDS is cheaper and more efficient, the webers are better quality, the ceramics hold great temps, and electric, pellet etc. are set it and forget it. I still think the coolest smokers are the Horizontal Offsets. Just screams smoking meat to me.
