Nice Wireless thermometer

Pros: dual probes, meat selector

Cons: distance, temp choice

I love the option of having 2 probes, but wish I could use one as a internal chamber thermometer easier. Can't wait for the Maverick ET-732 to become available. The other problem is when I am smoking in the winter and am sitting inside the house, sometimes the readout goes in and out, even-tho I am only about 70 ft away.

Pros: Easy to read & use, I like the "retransmit" button in case you lose range.

Cons: Small switches, you may have to vary the specific meat temperatures - they want you to cook your meat well!

I love my two Maverick ET-7s. Only complaint is that the done temperatures on the meat settings are a little high for my tastes and I frequently have to customize my set temp, which is easy enough. The range lets it reach where I need it to and if I lose transmission, it has that sweet little retransmit button on the transmitter that forces me to go outside and smell the sweet wood flavors from my smoker :D

piece of garbage

this is the biggest piece of garbage I've bought in a long time.  I've used it 3 times and now the remote WILL NOT attach any longer.  it starts to, both show the remote signal then nothing...it losses signal with it no more than 2 feet away!   DO not buy.....or should I say WASTE money on this one!!

Pros: None.

Cons: WIreless did not work more than 5 minutes

I bought this from Amazon and it did not ever work for more than 5 minutes.  I was literally sitting 10 feet away and it would stop reading the temp on the wireless remote portion.  It would stick and keep reading the same reading when I could see on the transmitting unit that the temp was indeed higher.

GREAT LITTLE THERMOMETER

Pros: EASY TO USE - GOOD RANGE- 2 PHOBES -GOOD BATTERY LIFE STILL ON SAME ONES-

Cons: NONE REALLY

JUST WITH ANY WIRELESS DEVICE,WHERE YOU ARE HAS A LOT  TO DO WITH RANGE AND SIGNAL. THAT BEING SAID I REGULARLY USE AT ABOUT 59 FEET.I SET MY OWN TEMPERATURES FOR BEING DONE. PER SET TEMP'S MAY BE MEDIUM WELL CHECK A COOK BOOK. Overall I love it, would recommend it to anybody.

Pros: long battery life

Cons: sometimes loses the wireless signal

This works pretty good most of the time on the remote...it does lose its signal sometimes but probably because of other wireless stuff I have interfere with it. I like it though. Works well.

Maverick ET-7 with 2probes

Posted

Pros: two for one

Cons: distance

I was very concerned about this item after seeing all the mixed results from past users... to date I have used it 4 times for chickens and pork shoulders as well as in a baked potato..It has met all my expectations and more...except it does not reach into my home while grilling, but it is fantastic up to about 15ft in a direct line of site.... which is no problem with me. I have been very careful with the probes and do not handle them roughly or turn them on before they are in the meat and then I always turn them off before removing them. I was told it would ruin a probe if the unit was turned on and touched metal... I don't know if this true or not, but so far so good... I will...

Pros: dual probes, large display

Cons: None

I've only used this thermometer once and already like it alot. Very easy to use and has a good range. Having two probes is a plus also. I would recommend this thermometer.
