Pros: Nice Hibachi Style Grill that Cooks/Sears Great; Well Made in the USA; Easy to take with you; Cooks a small meal with only a half chimney of charcoal.

Cons: While it has a nice bail handle to make carrying easy, you need to remember to remove the draft and re-loading doors and stow them inside.

This is a nicely made Hibachi Grill you can take with you! It's made by Lodge in the USA - the same people that make those great skillets and dutch ovens. The Lodge Cast Iron Cooking Grate has two heights, Lodge-emblem up and Lodge-emblem down, which gives you about a 2 inch difference in height over the coals. The 17.5 X 9 inch oval Cast Iron Cooking Grate leaves nice Sear Marks on your food. I seasoned mine with Flax Seed Oil and little sticks to it. At home I place this grill on a slate table and use it when I only want to grill a couple of steaks - and only want to burn a half chimney of charcoal, and there's no need to fire up my big smoker/grill.   The whole grill is not...

Best portable hibachi

Pros: Very durable and sturdy

Cons: Be careful when transporting because there are loose heavy cast iron pieces

  I've been wanting one of these for years now but couldn't justify the 120.00 price tag.  Finally found a used one for 40.00 last year and use it minimum two times a week.  All the struggling and hassles with the old school cheapo hibachi with the two grates that keep falling out of the holder are now gone.  With the old style I would never let my 3 and 5 year old near that thing but with the lodge logic I make them grill and flip the food without worrying about the hibachi falling apart on them.  The grill body is nice and deep so ashes aren't flying around as much when it's windy and it seems like the fire lasts longer using less charcoal.  When we are...
