Pros: Can be used as a grill or smoker, less flare ups, plenty of cooking room
Cons: The "U" pans rust out and the spacers on them break off.
I've owned two of these grills and loved them. You can easily smoke meat on this grill by filling up the smaller "U" pan with wood and laying heavy duty tinfoil over the top, then the grate, and then poking holes in it. It was enough of a good introduction that I eventually went and bought a smoker. The grill was great to cook on, less flare ups due to the design of the "U" Pans. You could still get a flare up if cooking fatty cuts on hi. My first grill rusted out after 2 years. I hadn't been very proactive in cleaning it or keeping it covered. I liked it enough that I special ordered a second one (done through the military PX as there was a limited selection of grills) I was pretty disappointed to leave it behind after a year when I moved back to the US.
Over all a good grill but it suffers from similar quality issues as most Char Broil's do. If I could find a similar design in better quality I would jump on it.
