Poor customer service

Cons: didn't work out of the box

I received this thermometer for Father's day this year. It was purchase a month before that date. When I went to use it, the receiver would not pick up the temps from the transmitter. I contacted customer support and am still waiting to hear something from them. I tried new batteries but that made no change. I finally went to store and got fresh batteries and it is working but no help from the...

Tappecue 4 Probe Remote BBQ Thermometer with Mobile Apps

“Have been using the Tappecue for over a year, and it is great. Really nice to be able to run errands or monitor temps inside on my iPhone/iPad while grilling. Unlike some of the other reviews, I had no issues with the set-up/install. This is the third wifi unit I have tried, and by far the most functional. The one I really wanted to work was put out by Williams Sonoma a few years back, but the...” --Dan Clements

“I've had this therm for over a year it has not given me any trouble except resetting after new batteries. I smoke 2-3 times a week and have only replaced the batteries twice so far. It's accurate and does it's job. Yes I would recommend this therm and would buy another one. ” --meateater

Polder Classic Cooking Thermometer/Timer, Graphite

“  They are easy to use and the alarm is a lifesaver.  Probes are replaceable, but some epoxy putty on the wire/probe joint makes 'em liquid proof, too ! So far so good under some demanding conditions. I've had 3-4 other brands that now reside in junk heaven ... ” --Bullmeat

Taylor Digital Cooking Thermometer with Probe and Timer

“I've used this thermo for years and am now looking for a new one (looking at Maverick as a budget friendly option). I thought this worked fine for the first couple years (mostly used in the oven). Last year I started using if for grilling/smoking and I think I damaged the probe during a flareup incident on the grill. Now this an the other thermo probe unit (a cheapy from Menards) will show very...” --Saxyjaz

“ This is the second dual probe thermo that I purchased. The first was a CDN. Both probes went haywire on me after 5-6 smokes. I protected the probe wire with foil always. From now on I will be sticking with the Maveric dual probe units. ” --coffee_junkie

“I bought this when I first started smoking in college. I am  not sure where I bought it from or for how much, I am thinking Home Depot but I am not 100% percent sure. This little baby is a work horse. I have bought some reasonably priced thermometers, nothing super fancy, only to have them crap out after a few uses. This one just keeps on going. It is bare bones. Only tells you the current...” --antrocks22

Polder THM-360 Dual Probe Cooking Thermometer, Black

“I've used this setup with my older WSM (no temperature gauge) to help measure both the ambient temperature inside the smoker as well as inserted into the meat.    One probe is stuck through a shaved down cork, which is jammed into a vent hole on the top of the smoker to measure the ambient temp.  The other runs through the smoker door and is stuck into the meat itself.    If I had any gripes,...” --HudL
