    cherry smoked pork but w/Qview

Hi, great looking butts!! Can you explain the "finishing off" process? I leave my butt in the smoker til it reaches 200* then wrap in foil and a clean rowell and then into cooler to rest. Is this process correct? Thanks for all I have learned so far! Carl

    Help wth first chicken

Thanks, that helps! I didn't allow my picnic roast to come to room temp. It was 34* ias measured with my digital themometer when it went in the smoke. I think that's part of the reason it took so long to reach temperature. Thanks again Carl

    Help wth first chicken

Do you allow your chicken to come to room temp before putting it in the smoker? Or will that be pushing my luck with the "safe zone"?

My first pork butt in my new Smoke Hollow smoker

When I started I checked the temperature with my digital thermometer. That is where I measured the 228*. The ambient temp may be part of the problem. I was so anxious to try smoking that as soon as I got the replacement regulator I started to smoke. It was 3:30 in the afternoon and the...

    Greetings from SW Ohio

Hello all, My name is Carl and I am addicted to pulled pork. Having said that, I have been shopping for a smoker for some time now. I must have made half a dozen trips to Gander Mountain to buy a smoker. But I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger. I was having a hard time trying to decide...
