wood chunks or slivers

  1.   This has probably been over a hundred times, but, Will I get better smoke and flavor, using chunks of wood or these little slivers from a bag??

       How about fresh cut (new wood) or old aged??
     
  2. Hello.  Aged wood only.  The other might depend on your smoker.  Usually chunks are better.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

    What type of smoker are you using? I prefer chunks in all my smokers except my gas smoker I use pellets and an AMNTS Tube from AmazN smokers. Seasoned dry wood is the only wood I use.
     
  4. Thanks Danny and Dirtsailor,  I use an 30" ME, have been using the bagged chips, don't seem to get the smoke flavor I would like.  Thanks again guys.
