I have the Gander mountain 15lb although I don't think it holds 15 lbs by my measurements,, more like 12 lb.

I have no complaints about it other than price. I think 200.00 for what it is is crazy,, but so am I cause I paid it..

I have a horn style and had similar problems as you are having.. alot of bypass,, I would never go back.. Grinder should not even be referd to as stuffing,,, Did that for years and won't go back..

Good to know, Rio, I'm glad that its not just me!

I know this is a very old post. Just in case some one runs across it and is interested , years ago my brother and I stuffed probably at least 30 ponds of fresh venison sausage using a horizontal stuffer that had two " speeds : gears ,.We filled the tube and cranked the high gear and it moved the meat toward the horn releasing a lot of air. We then put the casing on the horn and cranked the low gear( I might have that backwards , it was many years ago. There were 2 gears ) The meat came out smoothly and without undo pressure.. We were using natural lamb casings and had almost no breakage. It had a fairly large capacity. Maybe 15 lbs. There may be a modern version of that type on the market. Mine is a TSM.  I am happy with it but I rarely  make more than 10 lbs.If I found a 2 stage stuffer I would investigate it. My2 cents Weisswurst
