I have an old brinkmann upright smoker at the deer lease and can't remember the size of the round grates that go in it.
It has a coal pan on bottom, with a water pan that goes above it, and 2 cooking racks that go above the water pan. It has 1 door on it for adding coals. Dome lid with the lite push lock temp gage, it's about 10 years old.

I think it's like 16"-18" racks, but ain't sure. Anyone have a clue from my description?
Forgot to check this 2 weeks ago when I was at lease and heading out tomorrow for 1st weekend of gun deer season here, have a pork shoulder to cook at camp. Thanks.

Sounds like you've what is often called an ECB (El Cheapo Brinkman). Wheither it is chacoal or electric, it appears the racks are the same. They are 15 1/2 dia.

Yep, it's a cheapo, that's why its at deer lease. Thanks for the input fellas, I was leaning towards 16", so 15-1/2" sounds right. Its been at lease for 4 years and gets the job done.
We have a couple others, but all are usually in use at same time.

Yeah, in this case cheap doesn't mean useless. Not the easiest to use as it's nowhere near set and forget, but a true work horse.

By the way, you were close. the main body is 16" dia.
