Just put a seasoned pork butt on my Old Smokey about three hours ago. Cherry for smoke. Going to meat (pun intended) up with some vets tomorrow and enjoy potluck.

Thanks to all for their service, past and present.

Wish all of you could be there.

Enjoy your day wherever you are.

Peace on Earth.

Enjoy your cook with the vets too, cookie11

I can't say thank you enough to all our men and women in the service. My oldest is Navy, and I'm about as proud as a father can be.

Picked up a 13# Butt on sale yesterday ($.99) a pound. This will be pulled pork for Veterans Day.
Rubbed up with mustard and rub last night. Loaded up my chimney at 0600 with KB and the fire box , using the Minion method.
Pulled Butt from reefer at 0620 and left Butt out to add my Special Shot and warm to room temperature.
0700 Old Smokey stabilized at 260, added Cherry chips and butt.
Reloaded KB at 1200, temp down to 210, IT at 145.
Took IT at 1500; 170-180.
