I thought my pressure washer would get the smoker grease out of my aggregate concrete patio.....NOT.....Now I have grease stains in a bunch of areas......I know I should have put a mat down or cardboard, I will next time......BUT......Anyone know of any good products that get grease stains outta concrete? Thanks!

Not cardboard. Get the tile backing cement board stuff from the big-box home store. Fireproof and cheap. Last ya a year. Two if ya ain't too worried about pretty.

I almost hate to recommend this, 'cause it can be a mite dangerous, but we've used it at the fire station for removing vehicle oil spots...

Clean the concrete of dust and dirt, douse liberally with gasoline, and coat heavily with fine ashes (like from pit or fireplace). A little scrubbing sometimes helps. The gas will loosen oil and it will be soaked into ashes.

  5. The ancient gas station/shop trick is kitty litter. that seems to work like a charm for the grease - even deep down in - now the stains.... that may be another issue.

of course, there is always concrete stain to beautify.

Have had a grease stain on my stoop for a year from my gas grill grease resevoir overfilling from rain...tried everything to get it out from dawn dish soap to bleach and pine sol. Nothing worked. . Then was doing laundry and looked at the Oxy-Clean container.....why not? got the stain wet, put the powder all over and scrubbed it in with wire brush. Left it on for an hour....came back and rinsed.....CLEAN!  awesome!

  8. Carb cleaner works well on oil spills, never tried on meat juice.

Resurrecting a 6 year old post, that's got to be a record or something.
  11. Spray Nine or Castrol Super Clean. Pour on full strength, work it in with a stiff brush. pour some water on (small amount) work with brush again, rinse with water. Works wonders with diesel spills on concrete. Good luck, Ernie

Anyone willing to take a stab at this one?

What kind of a search was it that found this thread anyway?
