Help! I've tried foiling my Big Block grease pan and have failed. That grease pan is almost impossible for me to protect with aluminum foil. Should I give up and do something different? :?: What are your tricks to help preserve your grease pan?

    Oillogger..Hello again...
If you are refering to the large pan with the hole in it at the very bottom of the smoker...you don't really have to do anything special with it...all I have been doing with it is wipe it clean after each use if anything does get on it...while it is still fresh...if need be...give it a wash with some dish soap...I have used Dawn...it cuts the grease well..or I have heard of others using a product called Greased Lightning...that is a grease cutting cleaner also..
    Good Luck

    vulcan75001,

Are you saying my drip pan with the big hole in it at the very bottom of my Big Block never needs to be foiled again? :) The grease does not get burned on as it does on the cooking grates? :? Yes, I have good supply of Dawn handy. I never leave home without it so to speak.

Oillogger...Thats right...never again...and as far as the cooking racks...I only use as many as is needed for the smoke...and spray them...both sides..with a cooking spray....they wash off with extreme ease with Dawn after use...look good as new...

I just scrape mine out with a plastic 4 inch putty knife. If it's really bad, I'll hit with the Greased Lighting and a power washer.
