Howdy my name is Colby,
This is my first post here : ).
I have a nearly identical New Braunfels Smoker, that I'm also trying to refurbish. The outside of the smoker is in good shape with the exception of the underside. I've painted the inside with the 1200 degree black grill paint. It looks pretty decent. I'm also replacing the three wood rails on the front.
My question is this, how well do I need to sand the interior of the lower pit before I paint it?
The smoker I'm refurbishing is the same design at the one in this photo, however the temperature gauge is missing on mine.
Thanks
Colby
