Todays smoke...butt..with Q-View.

    A small butt 4.8 pounds.Rubbed yesterday with Mr Smiths spicy rub.

    Put a pan of hot water in the MES to warm it then fired it up to 250.

    It seems to like warmer temps when it's cold out there.

    5 hours later it hit 165 and was juiced and foiled and back in the MES.

    I had filled the AMAZEN thingee with hickory and lit both ends. It burned 4.5 hours.

    Taking it to 205 and then gonna pull it for dinner.

    Looking good great job - Funny thing though. The right side of that pic looks to me like a fish mouth, Just my sick sense of humor

    If you rotate the image 90º clockwise it looks like a Camel Head...

    It looks like pulled pork now!

    Went just like it should. Out at 5, in the cooler for an hour.

    I gotta tell is the best so far. Tender and jucy.

    We ate as I pulled.

    I could never have done this without the SMF crew...Thanks a bunch!!!



     Much kudos to rp RibKing.. the infamous Mr Smith.. The rub is fantastic!! The big heat was gone and the Woman sez Whooo Hooo..

    Must be pulled pork Sunday today!! Yours looks good as well. If you haven't tried it yet look in the wiki for soflaquers finishing sauce & you'll take that pork even higher!!!

    I'm really glad that this thing didn't split on the top. So it looks fine and I bet it will taste great too.

    I have been using a very similar recipe for a few years. It does make it even better.

    Oh Yeah! I never make PP without that finishing sauce. So freaking good! 

    Nice looking pulled pork btw. The AMNS is the best. Love that thing!
