Sitka Alaska
Greetings from a small island in Alaska,

I have been sneaking around the forums for a while now, love the insight and camaraderie that I tend to see, and...with a bold leap at a new project I decide I was overdue to join.  I have owned a couple smokers, my current being a 30" MES that gets its use.  I have built one outdoor smokehouse and had to leave to leave it behind when I transferred and that pretty much broke my heart.

To have that not happen to me again, im going a different route.  I jumped in feet first and got myself a 500 gal tank, a trailer and a large propane tank to turn into a fire box and I am going to make myself a RF Trailered Smoker.  I have been grabbing lots of ideas from you fine folks and am sure I will have plenty of questions along the way.

Thanks to everyone on this site for being here, and I look forward to many a chance to interact.

Matt

First off Welcome Matt to SMF. You'll like it here for there are alot of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking. Now there are alot of proven recipes for some amazing things here too. So if you need sign up for the E-Course it's free and it will give you the basics of smoking and some good methods to use also. So the next big thing for you to do is go out and get you something to smoke and if you happen to have any questions just post it here and we will be happy to answer them for you.

Welcome To Your New Addiction

Thanks to everyone for the welcome.  I have previously done the E-course and have been using Jeffs Rub and Sauce and were impressed.  It has really given me a great starting point for trying to create my own blends and flavors.  I will be starting a thread for the build once I get that up and going, hopefully soon since i just pulled the trailer and future firebox into the hanger to work on.  Once again, really great to be here.

Matt
