Thursday Night Tri-Tip!

    Grilling a Tri-tip and watching some football.


    Gonna do a reverse sear with some asparagus and potatoes


    Asparagus with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and evoo.  Tri-tip with just salt and pepper.


    Asparagus done, waiting for the tri-ip to hit 125 IT.


    Seared for two minutes er side after hitting 125 IT


    Sliced Tri-Tip


    Plated shot!  It was awesome!

    Nice job Mike. You selected a nice piece of meat to cook. I think I'm going to smoke one tomorrow.

    It ended up med/med rare after the reverse sear.  A little too done for me, I'll try cooking to 115 instead of 125 next time to see the results.  My gf is restricted from beef and pork on her cleansing diet, so I'm pretty much smoking for myself these days.  [​IMG]
