We been kinda under the weather lately. Freezing rain that is!

Yesterday I about went nuts being trapped inside so I went outside and smoked some cheese. That was enough to get me fired up for today.

Today its 16 degrees with windchill of 3. Freezing rain of course. That wont stop the TBS from rollin though. I think some ribs will take the chill off a day like this. My wife kinda thinks Im looney but she wont complain if she aint cookin.

Yeah... I know the feeling AJ. Kinda miffs me. I'm like "OK then! Burn some water and boil some ribs. I'll go out and eat". Then she ponders this, and leaves me alone :{)

Doing pan roast chicken for HER lunches this week today. So far, no grief! Phew!

I actually kinda like cookin in the cold. I rarely hafta worry about overtemp like in the heat of the summer. Does burn a lot mor wood though...

As long as I can get out of the wind I don't mind smokin' in the cold.... It's kind of a fact of life in Nebraska. My wife's biggest complaint about smoking anything, has more to do with me smelling so strongly of smoke that by the time the meat's done she doesn't feel like eating something out of the smoker. So I try and smoke when she's not there. Today she's here but I'm smokin some cheese anyway.

I agree, for some reason I like smoking in the cold or dreary weather. Maybe it's because I can't work outside on anything else. It's 40 and raining here today. I did 2 beef roasts that came off about an hour ago and have 4 pounds of chicken on now for a Christmas party on Saturday. So far the reviews of the beef are all chewing and thumbs up!

my wife knows I'm nuts but she can't resist my cooking.
I did 3 racks of ribs and my first fatty today and it was
cold and raining but I had fun anyway.

I found over the weekend that my ECB was more steady on temp (outside temp 27-29) from even when it was in the 40-50's back in Oct. (I only started in Oct so I am still a noob)

I see pics in other threads of some windbreaks that I will inevitably have to try as the temps here will continue to drop.
