Does anybody have any experience or knowledge about this unit.  I am very intrigued by this.  It would give me the ability to monitor my cook while I'm at work.  My office is about 10 minutes from my house and always before, I would just run to the house to check on things, most of the time for nothing.  This would be awesome for me.  What do guys and gals know about this?

I have read several reviews and have decided its the one I am going to get. Just saving up some cash for it is all.If the Meater wireless Thermometer was already out, I would consider it, but I want one before January or Febuary.

The only thing keeping me from ordering this today, it's too close to Christmas and everybody always gets mad at for me not telling them what I want for Christmas and just buying it myself.  Well, guess what?  They won't have that problem this year.  This is, for sure, on my list.  Now I just have to be nice!

Did you end up getting it?  Any reviews?  Very interested in getting one myself.
Yes, I did!  I have only had the chance to use it once.  So far, so good.  Set up was relatively easy.  The directions were written by someone that is very tech savvy and assumes that everyone else is too.  So for some, that could be an issue.  To me, you can sort of see that it is still somewhat in it's beginning stages and design, V3.0.  I don't say that to be critical, just hoping that as time passes, newer versions will make it to be a little more durable.   Maybe it already is and it just doesn't appear so.  Unit itself appears to be somewhat fragile.  Time will tell.  Like I said, that's just me.   It works really well, but it is pretty finicky. It sometimes takes a little while for it to get connected.  You definitely don't want to get it wet.  It's pretty sluggish in the cold temps.  There is no D/C capability, so the unit has to be plugged in to operate. As long as I am able to maintain good Wi/Fi connectivity, which in my rural area sometimes that is an issue, it has worked flawlessly thus far.  The temp probes are good quality and operate as intended. Temp accuracy appears to good and coincides with my pen probe.

All that being said, I am satisfied with it up to this point.  I am really looking forward to some warmer weather and the occasion to cooking more and trying to just wear this thing out.  If I run in to any issues, I'll post them up.  I hope that is not the case.

Good luck and good smoking!
