The reason that the ribs are taboo.... is that I am allergic to pork... big time allergic.... so therefore, I do not usually do pork of any kind....

Mustard, maple syrup, brown sugar, concoction

my basic rub with a little turbinado sugar to boot

just on the grates....

Smoke-N-My-I's

Just out of the foil, to set the juices....

Ready to bring in

This is the one with the rub and bbq sauce. I mixed some apple cider with the bbq sauce.

Here is the one with the pineapples on it. I also added some of the pineapple juice with the mustard concoction.

Here are my ribs...(hamburgers)... from the frying pan to the plate. Added a slice of cheese, horseradish mustard, sweet and hot peppers, and a dribble of ketchup....yes, there are two patties in each...

the pineapple duo...

here are the bbq sauce ones....

That has to be the MAJOR pits-to smoke pork for the family and not be able to enjoy the fruit (in this case 'meat') of your labors cuz you're allergic to it!!

Maybe I'll try something along that line with the wife- "Sorry I can't help with the house work, Dear-it's to bad that I'm allergic to it!"

Maybe I'd better not-don't want to have to duck any of the 6 cast iron fry pans that I know she will throw in my direction!! :P
