T-Bones on my Stacked Webers

We got some T-Bones on sale, so I figured I’d throw them on the Smokey Joe for some charcoal flavor. I like to set my SJ on my Weber “Q”, so it’s more comfortable than bending down to the little guy, plus that way I can utilize the side tables on the Weber Q.

The flavor was awesome as usual, after marinating a few hours in Teriyaki Marinade, but I was reminded why I always buy Ribeyes when they’re on sale. The NY Strip sides of the T-Bones were tough, and nothing like what I’m used to. Hard to believe these were marked “Choice”, but this seems to happen to me often when I buy T-Bones or NY Strip Steaks. They just can’t compare to a Ribeye.

Anyway Everything tasted Great, and I snapped some pics for you guys.

My Upgraded Smoking Porch should be ready to go again soon.

Hope you enjoy,

Bear

Only need about a half of a Chimney for my little Smokey Joe:

Here’s where my Weber “Q” saves wear & tear on the Bear’s back.
Note---I threw some Cherry Pellets on the coals too:

Good thing these T-Bones weren’t any bigger, or they wouldn’t have fit on my Smokey Joe!!

Nearly Done:

Had to cut mine up a bit to fit it on my Hot Plate with some Sides:

Hi Bear: My wife and I enjoy Zuccini all summer, any chance Mrs. Bear would give up that blueberry zucchini bread recipe. It looks delicious. Not to far North of me there are quite a few blueberry farms that we go and pick in late July. Thanks Tim

Wow, you used charcoal. Ha.

Looks awesome Bear
Thank You Adam!!

LOL-----First time I used charcoal since my Open-Heart Fiasco, because my Grill is temporarily at ground level. No climbing the steps with Smokey Joe & a chimney full of glowing red coals.

I used to use charcoal a lot.

Bear

Also: Thanks Gary & Adam for the Points!!

Another winner Bear.

Looks Great Bear!! We have some T-Bones in the freezer from a steer we had.

The strip side is usually a little disappointing for us as well.

Like the double stack!

Lookin' good!!!

Points to the Mrs for the zucchini blueberry bread!!

Good lookin cook bear! I dig my smokey joe out once in awhile to cook some burgers or steaks. It does a good job and doesn't use much charcoal.
Every now and then you need to get back to your roots
