It seems to be windy here more than not this time of year, and I don't have a shelter or the like for my outdoor cooking. The other day I had the Texas fired up, the wind just whipping the heat and smoke out of the stack wreaking havoc with my heat temps and just sucking the smoke out the chamber. Instead of continuing to cuss the weather or begrudge the fact that I don't have a shelter of some kind, I start looking around for something to help block the wind. I look across the yard and what do I see sitting next to my "FrankenBrinkmann", but the perfect solution.
It fits like it was made for it, it has a little over a half inch clearance all around the cap and rests in the center hole.
It kept my heat temps in check, and smoke in the chamber, crazy stupid simple.
