Last evening my wife and I cold smoked a couple of rib-eye steaks with oak.

-----

Gave them a quick sear while cooking some shrimp.
-----

-----

As the steaks were resting tossed on some garlic toast.

-----

Oak smoked Tatonka Dusted rib-eye, Buffalo Wing seasoned shrimp and garlic toast cooked to perfection courtesy of the Vortex... It was a fantastic meal!

-----

Thanks for looking!

Really good looking, Marty. Who doesn't like Rib eye and shrimp. Those rib eyes were just about perfect for the wife and me. Awesome, Joe. Thumbs Up

Very impressed, never thought about cold smoking a steak.I usually cook my 1 1/2 to 2 inch steaks in a very hot cast iron skillet. 2 min. on each side then into a 500° oven for 6 to 8 min. Always a perfect medium rare. I do miss the smoke flavor so I will try your cold. O yes, those Shrimp are tasty

:points:

DS

Normally cold smoke a steak an hour to an hour and a half before cooking, this one got just over an hour of smoke.

Seriously leftovers?

Looks great man..... Thats one fine looking steak. Really, leftovers? LOL

Those rib-eye's were not thick but were quite large, about half way through the steak I thought I can be miserable later or have an omelette later...

LOL----The difference between the way we used to eat, and the way we eat now after learning our lesson so many times!!!
