PORK Butt time, I broke out the smoker and using Jeff's rubb coated a butt.

Put it into the smoker last night about 11pm, tended to it untill about 2 am then went to bed and let it go on it's own. Temp were running 240 but we had a real strong wind. Later the next day I made some baked beans and put them into the smoker.

17 hour smoke on this thing, I didnt think it was ever going to get done, I pulled it at 190.

30 minutes of rest and pulled it.
  2. Looking good. It will not be too long before I put one on my BGE.

Very nice!![IMG]Did you have a long stall? I had a stall of over 3 hours on the 2 butts that I did last Tuesday/Wednesday. Didn't think they would ever get done either.

    Awesome Pork Butt !!

Did you use a "Finishing Sauce"?

This thing stalled so long it had me checking my thermometers to see if they were still working!

As far as a finishing sauce I used a sauce made in Tennessee called Humphreys, it is very tasty with just the right amount of kick to it. My parents live there, I got it while visiting last year.
