Been smoking for about two years now, so I'm pretty new, but I've got a little experience under my belt. Been taking some weekend Q into work on Mondays. Always met with good reviews, got my boss so excited he went out started building his own smoker. To make a long story short, he's the one who recommended SMF to me. I'm on a couple of other forums, but I'll say, there seems to be a wealth of knowledge here, I haven't seen a lot of other places. Hoping I'll learn alot and maybe even teach a little. Anyways, I have a Char-Griller with a side firebox and a homemade Drum Smoker. Enough for a small crowd, but not nearly what I'm wanting. Hoping to build a pull behind next year. Haven't made up my mind if I'm going with something similar to a Diamond Plate design or a reverse flow using a propane tank (250 gal. or so). Also love using my cast iron on the fire. Nothing like a pot of Gumbo, Chili, or Beans and fresh pan of jalapeno cornbread.

Welcome to SMF your right there is a wealth of knowledge here and usually by people that don't mind sharing it. I'll bet you find some of the recipes pretty good too. Have fun and happy smoking
