Whats up guys and gals? Am looking to buy a smoking vault I have never had one I have only smoked with wood and charcoal. I know there are alot of them out there but I have found myself going back to the Browning 24in vault would this be a good one? Please send me some suggestions any feed back will be helpful Thanks..

My first reaction was that anything with the Browning name on it will be something that is made very well. But...looking at some of the sites it seems that it is made by Camp Chef and I have no idea of the quality of them. A couple of folks at Amazon had some issues with the door welds and the door being lite, but it's hard to know if that is wide-spread or not. None of the doors (on these smaller consumer smokers that I've seen) like to just be whipped around in the wind or thrown open though - something will eventually give. Looks like it has good temperature controls.

Looks like the 24" is on backorder until mid November at a couple of sites too. That might mean a new model is on the way (but might not) so you might want to call them up and see if that's the case or not.

I'm sure someone that actually has one will be around real soon to help you out better.
