My local market had Country Style Ribs on clearance -- $0.99/lb!  So I grabbed 2 packs to smoke them for my 2 college kids' homecoming today.

Rubbed with brown sugar, pepper, & Rudy's rub -- piled high and ready for the smoker.

I smoked them with a mix of walnut and hickory for about 2.5 hours averaging 250*.  I almost forgot the after pic; I took this one after dinner as they were heading for the fridge.

My son (who has to eat in the college dining commons every day) remarked, "So this is what food tastes like!"

Had the whole family here for dinner, including my dad.  Drank some good wine, and played a couple of backgammon games with my eldest girl.  Doesn't get much better than this!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, y'all!

The CSR's my butcher had were not worth taking home when I went to get some yesterday, or I would be having some for dinner tonight.
