Im building a 120 gal smoker .I'm thinking about trying tuning plates. I wonder if I should use feldons times 1.5 for the calculations just like a rf smoker.

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from chilly, ice melting day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Are you talking about the fire box ?

Gary

No I meant the fire box to cc opening. I originaly went with feldons deminsions then read to go 1.5 times bigger for a rf and then I saw the forum for cc x .004 = opening size. I'm interested in trying tuning plates but have never actually wittnessed one in action. By the way I did start a thread in the rf forum.
Thanks for the welcome.
