Smoker Advice

  1. I have a Weber Smokey Joe grill that I manufactured a stainless steel extension for along with 2 extra racks. I'm wondering if I should use charcoal or put an electric burner in the bottom. I know the electric burner would be more consistant heat.

    I vote charcoal. That is all I use anymore. If you plan it right you can get a lot of mileage out of a little charcoal too. It would just not be right to electrify a webber would it?

    Have you ruled out gas?
