smoked TACOS final TACO photos

    I was discussing with my daughter about the seafood we are smoking this weekend and Mrs Miami  (hates seafood) chimed in that i should make her something she wants, so i said ok what do you want off the smoker,   She flippantly answered "TACOS, smoke that,"   so always ready to keep everyone happy here we go:

    Bought a nice 4 lb chuck to use for the meat and for the rub got a packet of taco seasoning which was applied generously;


    then overnight into the fridge it goes,   also just got back from a job in the florida keys and stopped at the key lime factory picked up some nice marinade so why not add some wings?


    now back to the chuck put it on around 8 this morning,   with that rub it smells just like taco!!!


    thanks for looking,   getting ready to whoop some Tenessee butt today!!!

    just sit back and wait now

    Looks like it's going to be tasty. Smoked shrimp is one of our favorite taco fillings. Pulled pork is another one.

    gotta have some mushrooms and japs filled with seafood cheese, red chillie pepper jelly and topped with bacon

    made a batch of bacon wrapped scallops


    taco meat looking good ready to foil up


    we did a little shrimp boil extra hot


    killer is looking pretty happy so far

    While I HATE asking a Gator fan for advice, what temp did you cook your Chuck at and how long did it take... looks great.
    Congrats on the win... that makes waaaaay too many in a row. GBO!!!

    Brad, i'm guessing your a Vol  and if you are just want to thank you guys for giving us a new QB.   That could be the best thing for the gators so far this year.

    The Chuck was at 225 for about six hours   four straight smoke then two in foil,  after that i wrapped in a towel and let it sit for about two more hours.   very soft and moist

    I am a Vols fan. Hate to see anyone get hurt, but you O sure looked better after the kid settled down. I guess you're welcome. :biggrin: Thanks for the info on the tacos and the cooking time/temp.

    Yeah your right, that was a lengthy discussion just for that reason of UGA but the kids and boss lady won that one

    I am an Auburn fan and Lynn....the MWMBO.....is a Vols fan.  Se we just "bleed orange" around here.
