I mad some smoked pepper that turned out real good.

I put fresh jalapenos (quartered length wise) in the smoker and smoked them for 3 hours. I then put them in the dehydrator and dryed them. I then ground them in a coffee grinder (do this outside). Makes a great peper for soups and stews.

I also put a shallow pan of salt in the smoker and made smoked salt.

Just thought I'd pass this on.

Tom...ever tried tossing some black pepper into the charcoal or pan? Interesting smoke. I wonder if the chilis would add a flavor that way too
