Flash inspired me to try a London Broil on the smoker. So, I started with a 3 lb steak I got for $1.49 a lb. Can't beat that.

I marinated it in Mojo for 4 hours.

I also wanted to smoke some onions and mushrooms which we later sauteed:

First, I seared the LB on the grill at 525 degrees for 2 minutes each side and then onto the smoker it went. Smoker was at 225 with apple wood.

It finished in 2 and a half hours as I took the internal to 140, foiled it and left it in the cooler wrapped in a towel until we were ready to eat. It was very tender and juicy.

Lastly, we made this a surf and turf. Some Alaskan King Crab and finger potatoes to boot.

Abelman....nice feast!!

We had some leftovers tonight from the LB. Opened faced sammies that were broiled on toasted French bread. Plus, I had some leftover home made clam chowder vacuum sealed in the freezer so it was a great meal.

Vaccum sealed the rest of the LB after it went on the meat slicer. I love that thing.

Congrats on a great smoke, and thanks for the Q View too!

looking good dude..............tho i do have to mention..........the steak pic on the smoker..........looks like a brown oven mitt..............LOLOLOL

sorry couldn't help it

points for you

Looks good gonna have to try it

No it didn't. It was very good and I will certainly be doing this one again. Everyone loved it and the leftovers have a bunch of uses. I still can't believe I only paid $5 for the meat

Thanks again for the recipe. I know we traded Mojo recipes long ago on FS. Since this was your recipe, I even did your Mojo as you'll notice the red onions in there which I don't have in mine.

Next one I do, I'll try my Mojo and see if there's any noticable difference.

Thanks again!

That's an excellent looking smoke!! Keep in mind that I'm not that far away (hint hint).

Abelman,

Nice job! I recently started doing LB's and you are right there are so many uses for the leftovers, but between me and my neighbors theres usually no leftovers.

For those who ask "What is Mojo"

If you are to lazy to make your own Mojo it can be found in most grocery stores.
