I thought it might be a good challenge to smoke a ham from the butcher. Of course, I didn't realize hams have to cured, etc. So, as an alternative, I bought a cheap grocery store ham and smoked that. I'm still working on my skills with smoking, so I'd say this came out "ok". I used hickory and the smoke flavor was a little strong, so maybe applewood or a short smoke.
