Smoke Ring Stops At 140?

  1. In an earlier post someone mentioned that the smoke ring formation stops after 140 deg. Is this true?

    Thank you for your support. I seared a packers tonight and have left it on the grates until now (real close to 140) hopin to get more ring. Gonna seal it up now and let it simmer.
