I heard about SMF from the "kitchen" section of a fishing forum I belong to, and I love it, so I decided to join up. I bought my wife one of those small vertical charcoal smokers about 10 years ago as a present, and she still says it is one of her favorite presents yet (because I was doing the cooking, and she got to eat BBQ)! I also have a Weber kettle grill that I use. I decided to get an electric smoker, so in part based on research on this site, I am going to get a 40" MES from Sam's this week. I have done jerky, brisket, shoulder, ribs and chicken mostly to this point, but I hope to expand my offering with the help of this website. I live in Luckey, Ohio which is south of Toledo.
