I plan to put a bead of high temp silicone in the rim of my flat lid and then put it on the drum with some weight on top so it forms to the barrel. Whats the best way to get it to release without sticking to the barrel. I was thinking maybe saran wrap. What do you think?

I used saran wrap   works great

Did you wait until the silicone formed a "skin" or did you put it on while it was still wet?
