Now I am confused. After doing a search
icon_smile.gif
here and on Google so that i could use multiple terms, I am still confused. I saw a piece of meat labelled Pork Shoulder Blade Roast at my local Safeway. One with bone in and one without and I was wondering if this was a butt. I did not see anything labelled butt or boston butt and did not want to ask the meat department (yet) in case this was some sort of regional term that they may not be aware of.

If someone could help me clear this up, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Dave

Yes Dave it's pretty much the same as a butt. Here at my safeways they also call them blades-I buy them pretty cheap-and smoke just like a butt, they are a great piece of meat for the price-think about 99 a #.

Grocery Store Is Trying To Be Correct Leaving Off The Word Butt. That Word Might Offend Some. No Offense Here. Bring On The Butt.
