Saw this guy on sale!!!!

    Was out looking for dinner idea and saw this little guy 3.33 Lbs.     

    $9.00 off I thought it was a steal.   Here it is all dressed up  for the big dance.  
        Basic rub 2 tablespoons of course sea salt, 2 teaspoons of  black pepper, 1 teaspoon of  dried smoked Jalapenos  I smoked them last summer, and 2 teaspoons of paprika , 1 teaspoon of Garlic powder,1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin.  And here it is all ready for nite nite!  


     Update tomorrow when I smoke!

    Hopefully you can send out samples! Dried smoked jalapeño's sound like a great touch!

    Brisket? Can't seem to enlarge the pictures and can't really tell. Looks good though, good luck with the smoke!

    It's a beef brisket.  Close dated and you got a great deal there.  I watch for these buy's all the time.  Our store put's them [all types of meats and poultry] out daily that are close dated at reduced prices.  That roast should be tasty!!! Reinhard.

    wow...I thought brisket prices up here in the PNW were bad.....yikes....enjoy the smoke and the deal....Willie

    Yes Willie for sure. Yea I can get a whole packer for $3.98 a  pound but once they take a knife to it  the price doubles. And I am only one who is going to be eating most of it Why I only bought the flat and it was on sale.

    I have  no idea AK1 I put it on about 10:20 am and now it is 2:45 and here is where it sittin. So time will tell going to  slice it so thinking 190 . I have to go peak! LOL BRB.

    It only stalled for close to 2 hours at 158  but 169 now!

    well it is done!!! 10 hours LOL.


    wrapped in foil then a towel then a sleeping bag then the cooler,

    OK everyone I been busy today LOL. Here is what I got for you.



    Out of cooler and fridge I sliced this morning.


    Hit this so 10 sec in Micro and juices are there Yummy!


    Here it is  all sliced up and some of burnt ends.


    Here is it already to take to work.


    Had to have something to eat them on so whipped up a batch of rolls.

    Oh made some smoked  baked beans today and put the burnt ends in it.

    With bacon also.





    Then I figured I might as well smoke some cheese. 



    My Smoke Gen.



    cheese in my home made cold smoker box LOL but it works good.
