Can anybody suggest a good book on sausage making and equipment needed?
I've seen a lot of good looking sausage on this site, but I do not know anything about it.

I think I would like to try it.

I think I am going to acquire a upright freezer, so I think a home brew may be in the future.

The Rytek book has been around for a long time, I think they are on the 4th edition.

IMHO some of the receipes are kind of bland, so I up most of the spices except the salt. It gives you a wealth of information as well.

I totally agree with this one! I love this book and use it all the time.
I tweek the reciopes a little for my liking as do most sausage makers. but this book tells what is needed to knwo to become an expert sausage maker.

Another vote for Rytek.
In the back of book there is great info that helps alot. Meat cut charts, several different convertion tables, & term explanation .

Rytek here too.

Another reason to get the Rytek book is that so many people here have it. If you have a question and give the page number, and if you listen real hard, you can actually hear all the pages flipping to that page number so that they can help you out!
