Hi All,
I've been planning on smoking the 2 Chuck roast steaks I have for a while. Got some inspiration from another thread and decided no time likethe present! the 2 pieces weigh 3 & 2 lbs. they're about 2-1/2 inches thick. Called the thread Rushin, as I rubbed them and only waited about an hour before getting them into the MES 40. I used Jeff's Rub, but substituted Splends brown sugar blend (used half as much) to cut down on the sugar a bit. Went into the smoker at around 12:45. I plN on smoking some beans with this later on. I will probably put themin when the meat gets to like 160...
Let's see if I can post some Qview...
Rubbed, ready, nd RUSHED!
Using hickory and cherry in my AMZNPS. Lit andburning for about 5 minutes here. I let it go until it burnedout, then placed it in the MES 40. Relit it inside the smoker for a couple minutes then blew it out. smoking TBS since then.
Smoker set to 230 degrees. Not sure when it'll be done, though! Started it later then I wanted to...
More to come...
