    A friend invited me to butcher some pigs his friend trapped in his peanut field.  This is my first time doing a wild pig.  Today's Q is 1/2 of a 75 pounder.  I'll be adding some chickens a little later just to take up a little space.  I'll update as time goes on.

    This is just the front half after about 7 hours.  It is fork-tender and delicious! (I snuck a piece of the tenderloin)[​IMG]

    We just ate and that was an amazing meal!  I have never had BBQ wild pork and I have never eaten a pig that small and tender!  My brother was right,..I am hooked!
  9. Well invested time there.  Reminds me of the pig pickins we used to do in N.C. when I was in the Army.  Well done!

    Looks great,peanut field probably hog heaven.Should make for tasty wild pork. I figure you will be heading back for more.

    Theres something about wild pigs & nuts,any nuts. In Italy the wild pigs eat a lot of chestnuts & acorns makes for tasty pork same in France.Here they eat road kill kangaroo so not that high on the list of desired meat[​IMG]. Fed on peanuts & that young I reckon they would be A+. Go get 'em.
