I have a Pit Boss 820 pellet grill.

It's has enough room for what I normally cook and is only $399 right now at Menards.  I would love to some day own a more expensive one, but for my budget right now this is great.  I have smoked chicken quarters, pork butt, ribs and beef brisket on it so far and all have turned out great.

Congrats - you gonna love it.  I've had the powder coat version for a little over a year now and am amaze at all the things I've been able to smoke and grill.

I had a traeger - it had different heat thru out the chamber, and thin walls. Took a little longer at times, and the fuller it was the better it cooked. I miss the fact it went up to 400 degrees sometimes.

Had a Traeger Junior with upgrades for 5 years,

After an electrical fire on burn-in I added the digital controller.

The JR is short and simple, so I built a new stand for it out of scrap TREX decking.

I added wheels, a bottom shelf, cover tie-down hooks, and a folding front shelf .

The JR worked for a while but I needed more room and better temp control

Upgraded to the Cabela's Magnum (a.k.a. Camp Chef LUX) last fall.  Love it !!!

I mostly use the hi-smoke setting (220 deg) and 350 for cooks bit it is nice to have more set points..

It love that the COVER, side-shelf, bottom shelf, upper cook rack and  temp probe are all included in the box. Others make you buy those separately.

I added a DLX 24" front folding wire shelf, led light and analog temp gauge in the lid.   (CC needs to start making a 36" shelf.)

Hopper dumps are getting common, but no one else has the external ash cleanout.  VERY HANDY!!!

Cabela's Magnum $699 to $799 so worth it.

Love my Lil Tex. Bought new in 2012. Added an Ortech T100 digital controller and the fold down shelf. Absolutely the best smoker I have ever owned. My wife built me the Packers table out of a pallet. Go Packers!!!

I own a Pit Boss 820 Deluxe Pellet Grill. We have had it for 2 weeks and have burned up around 60 lbs of pellets. We absolutely love it. It had a couple of temperature issues but those have been worked thru.

I have a GMG Daniel Boone. Have had it for about 3 years and love it. I use it all year long. I have the insulated cover and it works great in the winter time. It is still cold here, 14 degrees and windy so it is still on. Will be doing ribs for Easter.

After weeks of internet browsing I just put in my order for a Rec Tec RT-700 Bull with the competition cart. Delivery time is mid April. Going to be a long two weeks wait!
I was amazed how many brands are out there on these pellet machines. Must be hundreds of them. Choosing one an’t easy.
After lots of window shopping I narrowed it down to the Yoder and Rec Tec. Both have outstanding reviews. My decision came down to the experience a smf pal had with the Rec Tec (and those shiny longhorn lid handles! LOL)
