I reheated some brisket slices the other day on the traeger and it was GOOD! All I did was take the slices out of the fridge, warm up the smoker to about 275, put the slices on and spritz w/cider vinegar, worchest sauce, beer and water(have no clue on ratios), and sprinkled some rub on them. Flip after it looks about right(warmed to hot) and did it again. I made sure they stayed moist w/spritz and got them good and hot, hoping to add a tad more smoke........don't know if I did.

Turned out really good. I was impressed. You get to taste more of the rub so watch how much rub you put on. My rub has no salt, I add it first then put my rub on, works really good on small cuts or thin cuts. Think cuts like brisket and b.butt doesn't really matter, IMHO.

Thought the traeger people, the few anyway, would like to know and all you other traeger wanna-be's.

Trager wanna-be's now that's funny Al just the other day you had different thoughts about the trager. Have you decided on which stick burner you want to go with.

The General is not for sale Lol.

After MUCH thought and consideration, I am going to stay w/the traeger and may get another.

After checking on wood sources, pit "baby sitting", and price of the pit.........I have made my decision.

I can't tend a fire as much as I'd like. I can leave my smoker while I go spray for at least 4 hours, then I check the smoker.

A new digital thermostat will give me the temp I want, thanks McKenna.

And most of all, I don't need a $3500 smoker w/enough room to feed the county. I would like to have one, but now is not the time, and the actual use I'd get out of it, well it would be pathetic.

Some day, but not now..........as a tear rolls down my face.............and I call for my mama.
