I currently have a gosm smoker. I have to babysit it continuously. I am wanting to buy a smoker that has auto wood feed and temp control. Have around $300. Suggestions? There is a Stainless Steel digital Bradley Smoker 4 rack for sale nearby for $375.
Thanks

Ya know I don't really see many folks talking about Bradleys smokers around here, unless they are using abbreviations for it and I don't understand WTH they are saying...LOL

back to your question, I have a MES30 and I love it, I think it makes an awesome smoker\cooker for things like butts, briskets, chicken, etc.

pretty much a set it and forget it kinda deal (altho you still want to monitor it)

and a pretty decent sausage smoker too, but it takes a lil more  creatvity for the sausage I think

Good luck with  what ever you decide on

Have you given any thought to a AMZE-N smoker? This would cure alot of "Babysitting" problems and would be significantly cheaper!

I used my buddies Bradley last weekend and I didn't like it at all. It was hardley set it  and forget it which is what you expect from an electric unit. Also I had to set it at well over 220 to get it to run at 160 degrees. That didn't make any sense  to me. I am guessing the internal thermometer  or what ever it uses on the puck loader is way off. Good thing I had my own thermometers with so I knew what the actual temps were in the smoker. I'm not saying that all Bradley smokers are like this as this was the only time I have ever used one. There are a ton of MES owners on here so I would feel comfortable getting one of those.

I checked out the mastercraft smokers. There are quite a few options, but I didn't see any
with auto wood feed. Is there a good model I should look for?
I plan to use it for smoking ribs, pork and brisket. I do like the models which have a window in the door.
Thanks

Check out the add for the AMAZN smoker on this site. I recently got the pellet smoker and it works great with my electric smoker. Set the time and temp on the smoker and light the AMNPS and leave it alone.

I use the AMNS and AMNPS in my SmokinTex for both hot and cold smokes - it works great

I have 4 Bradleys love em. And yes both the AMZN Smokers work very good in my Bradleys.

The A Maze N Smoker products work great for smoke generation in the MES  smokers then you won't have to worry about using wood chips.

How does the AMZNP fit into the MES smoker?  There is a review on the amazen website which states the following, ". I put the Pellet Smoker in the water pan with no water in it and then left it alone. Built a tent with aluminum foil and put it over the Pellet Holder so drippings would not get in it and put the fire out."

I thought that water was an important part of the process, so I don't understand why one would leave water out of the pan.  It sounds like it isn't possible to put the amznp tray where the normal wood tray would be?

It might help if someone has a picture of how this would work.

Thanks.

I don't have a MES so I can't speak from experience but there are a ton of users on here who use their A Maze N Smokers in their MES and hopefully they will chime in  on the location but from what I have seen they  usually put the AMNS in the bottom left hand corner of the MES. Also you want to make sure it can get  enough air flow to keep running and also you don't want any of your drippings to drip on the AMNS. There are lots of photos out there with how they set this up but I will leave it up to one of the MES pro's to post one of them. If you have questions on how  to use  the AMNS in the MES this is the place to as them.

Can someone comment on where the amnzp fits in the MES and if the water tray needs to be removed.
Thanks

I have a MES 30 and the pellet burning model fits on the bars right next to the Masterbuilts smoke box. The water pan does not need to be removed. With the 6x8 dust burning model i remove the drip pan on the bottom..put a piece of foil on the floor and put the AMAZEN on the floor of the smoker all the way to the left side. Hope this helps answer your questions...Len

I checked on amazon and the MES30 with with window and RF controller is around $200 more than the MES30 without the window.  From those who own the MES30, is it worth the additional $200 for the upgrade to the window version?  If so, why?

thanks.
