New to the art of smoking meat. Have been smoking with cheap brinkman doing simple things but ready for more. I want to make a bigger smoker to process my own wild game, summer sausage, deer bacon and other smoked sausages. I see the picture's of the UDS but can't find the plan. I am a computer Idiot can anyone help me.

Thanks for the help. Has anyone used a propane heat source for there uds. I am wondering about controlling the heat in our constantly changing MN winter.

Welcome to the forums, Chaser! Glad you joined us. I've never used a UDS myself, but I don't see why you couldn't design one that is propane fueled. Maybe some of the guys who use 'em will be along to offer more help. Good luck and happy smokin'!

Stop into the charcoal smokers room and post your UDS questions. Someone will be right along with plenty of help. Not everyone checks into roll call, so you may not find your answer in here.
