Questions on the MES 30 & 40

I watched the video as i'll be buying a new unit soon. I thought that the half chip loader was part the problem too? What is the change from the chip tray that comes w/ the unit to the retro fit??

Thanks for the video. I do have a question for anyone who knows. I am gonna get the retro kit, but I am also going to get the amnps. The way the shw in the video is to put the one screw with the washer and nut pointing out to the left side. Does this interfere with the placement of the amnps in the MES 40?

The half chip loader isn't much of a problem. You can open that up with a dremel, if you want, but I never put more chips in than the half chip loader gives you, during the short time I used it. ( Pre--AMNPS )

The main problem is the extra sheet of metal under the half chip drawer.

Some people drill holes in it, some cut it out, but the best thing to do is get the FREE retro-kit.

The Retro-kit with the full drawer doesn't have that extra piece of metal there.

Why fix it, if they'll solve the problem for free.

Definitely no problem in the MES 40---Lots of room.

Not sure about the MES 30, but I don't think it interferes with it in there either.

I too just ordered my retro-fit kit, Free shipping too...can't beat that service!

Removing the heat shield worked great for getting more smoke at low temps but this kit will be even better!
