Question about fatties from a noob

  1. I've beeb reading about making these fatty things, which I intend to do. But my question is that everyone is using this brand or that brand. Since we all love cooking why doesn't anyone use their own homemade sausage? or is there a reason why I shouldn't?

    No reason at all, in fact thats what I use and they come out great!

    I don't know about everyone else , but I don't have the tools to make my own sausage yet. Maybe one of these days. I understand they sell the stuff at Bass Pro Shop.
     
  4. You really don't need tools to get started just buy ground pork and spices. Also valentines day is coming, buy your wife a kitchen-aid and get the grinder/spaggetti attatchment for you. Once you get started you won't be able to stop at just a grinder and stuffer.[​IMG]

    I don't use anything BUT my home ground. Last was a venison/pork mix was delicious.

    Ditto! I just added the herbs and spices to make hot Italian with the same mix. Makes some great fatties!

    store bought is to greasy & I don't know whats in it! I only use my own also.
