Looking to start new build, last one was a 120 gallon tank that allowed me 23"  wide grates. I would like to go with a little bit wider cooking grate.Closer to 30 inches as possible.

Question is: Does anyone know what the next size horizontal propane tank is from a 120 gallon and what the diameter and length is?

Trying to educate myself before I start call around for one, rather know exactly what size it is Im looking for.

Thanks guys,

Looks like 250 gallon will give me 7'10" long and 30" wide.  I may cut the length down a little to give me what I want. But that will make a nice size party smoker.

nybbq,

I would love to see a pic of your meadow Creek, thats what I am planning to make a clone of.  Does yours have the doors that open from both sides?

I wanna see... :o)

This is what Im wanting to build, except I want to include 3 propane rods so that it can be used as a grill as well for doing steak cookouts. I like the way they have the doors on both sides of the cook chamber, and overall its very compact design.  Not exactly what I would take to a competition or cater a big party, but a nice size to do a case of ribs on for a small party.

Eventually, I'll have a fleet of these things, one for every kind of event.
