    >Family Member: "Sure." (Fax number was given )

    That's so sad, but terribly true with credit card companies harassing survivors about credit card debt owed by the deceased. My Dad passed last year and my Mom still gets phone calls about the debt he had on his cards. The kicker is that she was never on any of them and isn't liable at all. There was no estate and they still are trying to get money out of her.

    She has a lawyer and is doing everything legally however, for people that may not have anyone around and are constantly barraged by phone calls at all hours of the day, every day, sometimes give in and pay those bills that they were never responsible for in the first place.

    Sorry for the rant, but Dude's post really hit home and is a true reality of the credit card agencies out there ... [​IMG]
